who will Event/Party plan
with development experience

with PR experience

In order to make our goal of opening a home a reality in the next three years, we have to raise between $250,000 & $500,000. Our goal is to raise between $40,000 and $60,000 this year, and then to double that amount each year over the next three years. This money will help us obtain a house, hire an executive director, and get our project off the ground. We are confident we can do this, but we need your help! We welcome your donation. We would be pleased to talk with anyone you think might want to help us.

We also need people who can help in the following ways:

  • Invite us to make a presentation at your church or congregation about L'Arche to help spread the word. Contact Laura at info@larcheatlanta.org
  • Join a committee to share your expertise as we work to build L'Arche in Atlanta. (Click here for a Volunteer Opportunities .pdf file) Or contact info@larcheatlanta.org
  • Volunteer to host a gathering at your house or community group where we can present about L'Arche to your group of friends. Contact Laura at info@larcheatlanta.org
  • Volunteer to host a coffehouse/open mic night at your community gathering space. Contact Talley Wells at talleywells@alumni.duke.edu
  • Help us raise money to purchase our first home by donating to our capital fund. Every little bit helps to bring us closer to welcoming our first core members into a L'Arche home.

Committee Member Trey Miller meets new friends in L'Arche Clinton, IA

"I went to L'Arche after college thinking I would help other people, but I soon realized that I was the one who was being changed into a better person. Day by day, I learned from the core members what it truly means to love unconditionally and find the beauty and gifts in each person. I left L'Arche forever changed and sought out ways to continue relationships with people with developmental disabilities, because it is through these relationships that I find the greatest sense of peace, fulfillment and hope for the world."
