As we step into another holiday season, I find myself reflecting on the warmth and joy shared with family and friends. These moments of connection are reminiscent of the spirit we foster at L’Arche Atlanta, where for 11 years, we've been creating cherished memories alongside you - our valued donors, staff, Core Members, board members, and volunteers. Our collective journey, deeply rooted in relationship, has been pivotal in advancing our mission for people with and without disabilities.

As the Board Chair of L’Arche Atlanta, I recall my introduction to this vibrant community 11 years ago. A dear friend, whose son is a Core Member, invited me to volunteer. I still vividly remember my first dinner with Core Members and Assistants at Mead Road. The laughter, shared stories, and a profound sense of belonging I felt that evening ignited a deep commitment in me to L’Arche Atlanta. Over the years, whether chairing our annual fundraiser, celebrating birthdays, or simply sharing a meal at the Mead Road and Clairemont homes, each interaction has enriched me with an appreciation for the diverse gifts and talents within our community. These experiences have not only rooted me in a spirit of connection and inclusion but have also taught me the profound impact of love and community.

Our aim is to nurture this sense of belonging for everyone, regardless of ability. We are dedicated to sustaining an environment that promotes choice, self-determination, independence, and community integration -values I have been fortunate to witness and experience firsthand. Your support is essential in continuing to create life-changing impacts for our Core Members, Assistants, and the broader community.
